Dr Charles Lee graduated with an MBBS degree from the University of Mysore, India in 1976. He had his higher surgical training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in Kuala Lumpur and Post-Fellowship training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in the United Kingdom.
Back to Malaysia, Dr. Lee had served in the Department of Plastic Surgery, General Hospital, Kuala Lumpur as a Clinical Specialist in Plastic Surgery and later as Consultant Plastic Surgeon at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Sabah, East Malaysia. Dr Lee is credited for establishing the first Department of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. In 1990 Dr Lee began his private practice in Lee Plastic, Reconstructive & Cosmetic Surgery at the Sabah Medical Centre in Sabah.
Dr. Lee is a member of the Malaysian Medical Association and Past Vice President of the Malaysian Association of Plastic, Aesthetic and Craniomaxillofacial Surgeons (MAPACS). Dr Charles Lee is registered as a Specialist in Plastic Surgery with the National Specialist Register (NSR; www.nsr.org.my) of Malaysia and is a Board Certified. Plastic Surgeon with the Malaysian Association of Plastic Surgeons.

Dr Charles Lee is currently the resident Consultant Plastic, Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgeon in Sabah Medical Centre, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah .
In 1984, Dr Lee was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh , Scotland (FRCSE) and the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow , Scotland (FRCS Glasgow) in the United Kingdom and the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland (FRCSI). He did his training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge and Frenchay Hospital in Bristol in the United Kingdom and at the Bangour General Hospital in Edinburgh , Scotland .
In 1987, Dr Lee returned to Malaysia and served as Clinical Specialist in Plastic Surgery in the Department of Plastic Surgery at the General Hospital , Kuala Lumpur and in 1989 as Consultant Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah , Malaysia.
Dr Charles Lee is credited for having established the first Department of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah , East Malaysia in 1989. He also established the 1 st Burns Unit in Sabah .
In 1990 Dr Lee began his private practice as a Consultant Plastic & Cosmetic Surgeon at Sabah Medical Centre, Kota Kinabalu. Lee Plastic Surgery offers a professional, personalized and high tech approach in plastic and reconstructive surgery including cosmetic surgery and non-surgical cosmetic procedures.
Dr Lee is a member and Past-Vice President of the Malaysian Association of Plastic, Aesthetic and Craniomaxillofacial Surgeons (MAPACS; www.mapacs.com ) and a member of the Malaysian Medical Association.
Dr Charles Lee is registered as a Specialist in the field of Plastic Surgery and is listed in the National Specialist Register of Malaysia (NSR). He is also a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon by the Malaysian Association of Plastic, Aesthetic and Craniomaxillofacial Surgeons.
His main areas of interest is in body sculptre and body contouring – liposculptre, tummy tuck surgery, breast augmentation and facial rejuvenation procedures. Dr Charles Lee is the only certified Thermage Physician in East Malaysia and has been invited to speak on his wide experiences in Thermage to medical physicians in the Philippines .
Besides his professional work, Dr Charles Lee is also the Founder and Chairman of a Christian ministry called The Asia- Pacific Consultation on Discipleship (APCOD; www.apcod.org ).
