- Dr. Charles Lee
Dr Charles Lee graduated with an MBBS degree from the University of Mysore, India in 1976. He had his higher surgical training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in Kuala Lumpur and Post-Fellowship training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in the United Kingdom.
Back to Malaysia, Dr. Lee had served in the Department of Plastic Surgery, General Hospital, Kuala Lumpur as a Clinical Specialist in Plastic Surgery and later as Consultant Plastic Surgeon at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Sabah, East Malaysia. Dr Lee is credited for establishing the first Department of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. In 1990 Dr Lee began his private practice in Lee Plastic, Reconstructive & Cosmetic Surgery at the Sabah Medical Centre in Sabah.
Dr. Lee is a member of the Malaysian Medical Association and Past Vice President of the Malaysian Association of Plastic, Aesthetic and Craniomaxillofacial Surgeons (MAPACS). Dr Charles Lee is registered as a Specialist in Plastic Surgery with the National Specialist Register (NSR; www.nsr.org.my) of Malaysia and is a Board Certified. Dr Molly Elizabeth Mathew, Senior Consultant Ophthalmologist was trained at the famous Christian Medical College and Hospital Vellore, India. She served in the Malaysia Ministry of Health at General Hospital Kuching, Sarawak, and Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Kota Kinabalu as consultant Ophthalmologist from 1984 to 1997. During this period she had vast experience of dealing with all complex eye problems referred to the general hospital from all over the state. At the same time she was involved in the training of many ophthalmologists who now serve as specialists in various parts of the country. In 1997, Dr Molly joined Sabah Medical Centre as a resident consultant ophthalmologist and has been practicing there since then. She is fully qualified in refractive surgery and well reputed in her professionalism in dealing with her LASIK patients.

Dr Mona Ngui qualified as Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) Degree from KoaSiung Medical College, Taiwan in the year 1975. After obtaining her M.D., She completed her ophthalmology specialization in Edinburgh, England 1979. 1981, Dr Mona obtained her Scottish Triple Qualifications from Royal College of Surgeons, Royal College of Physician and Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow in Edinburgh (known as LRCP, LRCS). She was granted life time full registration with British General Medical Council, U.K. in 1985.
From 1979 to 1983, she worked as senior house officer and registrar in Department of Ophthalmology in University Hospital, Nottingham, U.K. In 1983, she came back to Malaysia and served as consultant ophthalmologist in Hospital Queen Elizabeth, Sabah for 3 years. She joined Sabah Medical Centre in year 1992 as the resident consultant ophthalmologist after 6 years in her private practice. She is specially trained in Refractive and Phaco Surgeries and has extensive experience in both fields. Internationally, Dr Mona was also invited by Carl Zeiss to be one of the guest speakers on refractive surgery in Asian Pacific Annual Ophthalmology Congress 2006 in Singapore. With 20 years of experience and constant upgrading in ophthalmology, she is well known and sought after in the society of Kota Kinabalu for her expertise and professionalism.
